Here come the Pens. With the Penguins 4-2 routing of Philadelphia last night, the Penguins have now clinched home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs. They also clinched the Atlantic division for the first time in 10 years. So, on top of having home ice and the division under their belt, they have a relatively healthy line up. They just got Sidney Crosby back, and with the addition of Marian Hossa at the trade deadline, the Pens might just have the most dangerous and deep line-up in the playoffs this season. A note to the Eastern Conference teams looking to make the finals this year, The Penguins are coming, and they will not be stopped. All of their youngsters have the experience from last years playoffs, and have amazing goal scorers and play-makers in Crosby, Malkin, and Ho

Alexander Ovechkin broke the record for most goals by a left winger by scoring his 64th and 65th goals of the season against the Tampa Bay lightning. He has surpassed Luc Robitaile for the most goals by a left winger in a season. On top of all of the Ovechkin talk, the Washington Capitals have putting the pedal to the metal and steamrolling their way to a playoff division. At one point this season the Caps were the worst team in the league, but now are tied for the lead with Carolina in the Southeast Division. As of right now, they are in the top 8 of the Eastern Conference, but need to win this last game, and if Carolina loses their last game, the Caps will win the division and secure home ice in the first round of the playoffs. The team has been playing with a passion for making the playoffs, and they have shown that they can win. Expect to see this team battling it out with the Pens for the Eastern Conference finals this spring.
